Share Your Voice – Contribute Ideas for a Sustainable Energy Future

Vietnam’s energy sector is entering a pivotal phase of transformation — not only responding to development demands and global emission reduction commitments, but actively embracing them as catalysts for change. In this spirit, the “Share Your Voice” campaign was launched as an open platform where businesses, experts, and organizations are invited to contribute ideas and practical solutions toward building a more sustainable energy future. Vietnam at the Crossroads of Energy Transition As Vietnam enters a critical stage of energy transformation, it must balance internal development needs with global commitments to reduce emissions. “Share Your Voice – Share Ideas, Contribute to Sustainable Development” was initiated as a meaningful engagement platform, inviting the business community, experts, and organizations to contribute their perspectives and disseminate innovative solutions for the future of Vietnam’s energy sector. ietnam is proactively recalibrating its energy strategy in response to evolving global dynamics—especially after the U.S. withdrawal from the JETP funding commitment, which has accelerated the country’s urgency to mobilize over USD 190 billion annually through 2030. Rather than slowing down, Vietnam is leaning into this challenge. As offshore wind and LNG projects encounter hurdles, the government is turning its focus to solar energy—setting a bold target for it to account for 16% of total electricity output by 2030, with a projected capacity exceeding 211 GW—surpassing even Germany’s current levels. However, soaring demand has also led to a 31% rise in coal imports during the first nine months of 2024. This reality presents a major opportunity to attract investment in renewable energy, while also requiring strategic solutions to balance growth with the Net Zero 2050 commitment. Share Your Voice – A Step Toward Sustainability The “Share Your Voice” campaign aims to create an inclusive space where enterprises, organizations, and individuals working in energy, electricity, and infrastructure can contribute perspectives, propose initiatives, and share real-world experiences. Whether your ideas involve technological innovation, operational solutions, or policy recommendations, each contribution brings real value. This is an opportunity for the community to unite in steering Vietnam’s energy industry toward a greener, smarter, and more efficient future. How to Participate Participating in “Share Your Voice” is simple and completely free. To submit your ideas or initiatives: For further support, please contact: Ms. Lila LêEmail: [email protected] Phone: (+84) 28 3622 2588 (Ext: 107) Why Join “Share Your Voice”? Joining the “Share Your Voice” campaign offers more than just exposure – it’s a chance to actively contribute to Vietnam’s sustainable energy future. Key benefits include: Act Today – Build a Sustainable Tomorrow Transitioning to a clean and sustainable energy system is not a task for a single individual or organization. It requires collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and collective effort across the entire industry to create lasting, systemic change. “Share Your Voice” is more than just a campaign – it’s an invitation to the entire energy community to help shape the future of Vietnam’s energy landscape. Every voice matters. Every initiative has the power to spark meaningful progress.
